What is the difference between VPS and VPD?

A VPS gives you dedicated RAM and CPU on a shared host. A VPD pins dedicated CPU cores to you — closer to bare metal, no other tenants sharing your processing power.

How much RAM/CPU do I actually need?

Game server (Minecraft, 10 players): 2 vCPU, 4 GB. Dev environment (Docker, CI): 2 vCPU, 4 GB. Self-hosted app (Nextcloud, Plex for 5 users): 2 vCPU, 4–8 GB. Heavier workloads: start at 4 vCPU, 8 GB+.

Do you use NVMe storage?

Yes — all primary disks are NVMe SSDs. Until benchmarks publish: NVMe on all plans, no SATA fallback, no spinning rust. Full fio benchmark numbers TBC.

What operating systems can I install?

Confirmed: Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 LTS, Debian 12, Rocky Linux 9, AlmaLinux 9, Alpine Linux 3.x, Arch Linux. Windows Server and Fedora: TBC. Full list shown in OS picker at deploy time.

Do I get IPv6?

Yes — every server gets a dedicated public IPv4. IPv6 availability: TBC (engineering to confirm allocation size and whether standard or by request).

Is DDoS protection included?

Accepted Answer

Baseline network-layer mitigation included on all plans at no extra cost. Standard mitigation handles typical network attacks. Volumetric attacks above [TBC Gbps] are null-routed per industry practice. L7 protection: TBC.

What happens if my server goes down?

Accepted Answer

Open a ticket or ping us on Discord. We target 99.9% uptime. If it's our fault, we restore service and auto-apply SLA credits. Live status at status.juroot.com — subscribe for incident alerts.

Can I upgrade or downgrade later?

Accepted Answer

Yes — vertical upgrades are one-click from the panel, effective on reboot. Downgrades supported where the smaller plan fits your current disk usage. Data preserved across plan changes. IP may change on downgrade.

Where are the data centers located?

Accepted Answer

TBC — ops to confirm provider(s) and regions before launch. Target: one EU and one North America region. We’ll publish a test IP per region for latency checks.

Question 10

How does billing work if I cancel mid-month?

Accepted Answer

Billing is monthly, in advance. Cancel anytime from the panel. Service runs to the end of the paid period. We don’t issue prorated refunds for partial months unless required by law.

Do you take backups, and who's responsible for my data?

Accepted Answer
